History of Kumaresan Muthulakshmi Memorial Trust
Mr. Somasundaram and Dr. Sankaran set up the Kumaresan Muthulakshmi Memorial Trust in Koothiyarkundu village, Madurai in the memory of their parents in the year 2016.
Our Mission
- To serve for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden and to help them in all possible ways.
- To promote and work for the welfare of women.
- To work for Holistic Rural development.
- To conduct various programmes, projects, Research work in the field of Health, Education, Culture and Economic development for rural upliftment.
- To arrange and conduct moral classes and prepare the children as loyal citizen of India.
- To provide basic requirements of food, clothing, education, and shelter along with medical aid to those who are in need.
- To promote sports, cultural, social, and spiritual activities among the youth and the general public for the promotion of integrity.
- To promote and extend financial assistance for the provision of low cost sanitation facilities, drinking water, fuel, electricity and irrigation facilities for common community use and to conduct research work to find out suitable and viable alternatives in this regard.
- To conduct programmes for the benefit of the students, orphan children, destitute men & women, physically handicapped people, mentally retarded people and aged people.
- To give donations or financial assistance to other institutions, trusts, funds etc., for promotion of similar objectives.
- To undertake programmes for helping physically and socially handicapped people and to help the poor widows,the decerted young women and helpless aged people to settle them down properly.
- To undertake various programmes / activities / projects to protect the Environment and Nature for ensuring better living.
- To create harmony among people of different castes, religions and communities to make them feel that all are brothers and sisters of one family.
- To undertake various programmes / activities / projects to promote the organic cultivation.
- To print, publish periodicals, books etc. for the propagation of our culture and heritage among the people.
