Mr. K. Somasundaram and Dr. K. Sankaran, in honor of their parents, encourage the students of Koothiyarkundu Middle School by awarding the Top three prizes to the students of class 6, class 7 and class 8 every year.
Every year in the month of February from 1991, family members visit Koothiyarkundu Middle School and provided foods and gifts to the students.
February, 2008 - 2 book racks are provided.
February, 2009 - An iron door was donated to the school
November, 2011 - Koothiyarkundu Middle School was gifted a television for the benefit of the students.
February, 2014 - A cash donation of Rs.2000/- was made to benefit of the students of Koothiyarkundu Middle School.
February, 2015 - For the benefit of the students of Koothiyarkundu Middle School stationery and gifts were distributed to the students.
February, 2017 - A donation of Rs. 5000/- was made for the annual function of Koothiyarkundu Middle School.
March, 2017 - A one-day refresher camp for children was conducted at Koothiyarkundu Middle School from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm. In it, the retired teacher Mr. Sankaran gave a patriotic speech. Bharatiyar patriotic songs were sung by children. A collection of righteous short stories was read. Trained to make handicrafts. Mr. Guru. Jayachandran gave a simple mathematics training class to the children.Lunch was served to children and others in the afternoon. General knowledge skill development training was given after the meal. In the evening, an indoor and outdoor game was held and a speech was given by the students. Prizes were distributed at 6.00 pm and the refreshment camp concluded.
August, 2017 - One day refresher camp conducted at Government Panchayat Union High School, Karuvelambatti. Mr. Sankaran, a retired teacher, addressed the students on the role of Tamil Nadu leaders in the Liberation War. Mr. Kurajyachandran taught mathematics in a simple way. Mrs. K. Anuradha sports teacher imparted yoga training and handicraft training, indoor and outdoor sports training. Mrs. Lakshmipriya Rajkumar conducted a general knowledge discussion among the students. Later, the students were given writing materials and the prizes of the painting competition were announced.
February, 2018 - Chrome Cassette Speaker (Bluetooth) was donated to the students of Koothiyarkundu Middle School.
On behalf of the foundation, it was decided to conduct tuition for the small children in Koothiyarkundu Kanakkar Street.
July, 2018 - Classes are being conducted for about 20 children in Koothiyarkundu Kaskapar Street from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Two women coaches were appointed as teachers and are being paid Rs. 1,500/- as an honorarium on behalf of the Foundation.
